Holiday World 2015: 66 Days At Sea - Day 43

On May 19, 2014, Holiday World began releasing information about their 2015 expansion plans. They launched the teaser site 66DaysAtSea.com to give clues over the course of 66 days as to what the big announcement may be.  You can read more about the site here. We'll be highlighting each day's entry as well as providing our analysis of what we think the clues may be hinting at.

Day 43

Analysis

Let's take a look at today's entry:
  • "The storm continues.  The rocking of the ship gives me a dizzy sensation that I cannot escape, even in my dreams.  I can write no more this day."
    • A few days ago I mentioned the possible return of the outdated stand-up roller coaster, and today I'll look at the possible return of another form of outdated theme park technology: the suspended coaster.  It would certainly fit within the framework today's entry with the way that the coaster cars rock back and forth, and it would give the park something unique and unexpected.  The only problem with a suspended coaster though, is that I'm not sure anyone manufactures them anymore.  As far as I known, Arrow Dynamics was the only company to build them and they are long gone.
    • While not a suspended coaster, I came across the Free Fly from S&S while doing some research.  This would be something thrilling for children and adults and could easily be overlaid with a boat theme.  While I don't think this is a plausible option, it would give Holiday World an easy marketing ploy since it would be the first of its kind in the United States.
That's it for today.  Check back tomorrow for our analysis of Day 44.
