Holiday World 2015: 66 Days At Sea - Day 53

On May 19, 2014, Holiday World began releasing information about their 2015 expansion plans. They launched the teaser site 66DaysAtSea.com to give clues over the course of 66 days as to what the big announcement may be.  You can read more about the site here. We'll be highlighting each day's entry as well as providing our analysis of what we think the clues may be hinting at.

Day 53

Analysis

Let's take a look at today's entry:

• "Captain Jones and his crew carefully inspect the Mayflower's hull by candlelight. Rib by rib, plank by plank, they search.  Any leaks are soon patched.  The great cracked beam continues to furrow their brows.  It causes us all to speak only in hushed tones."
• The way Captain Jones and his crew search for leaks on their ship sounds oddly similar to the way a maintenance crew inspects a wooden coaster.  If he's looking for a job after his sailing days are finished, perhaps he can land a gig with the Coaster Cats.  I know everyone and their mother is expecting a steel coaster to be the highlight of the 2015 expansion, and rightfully so given the shape of footers being poured, but I think there will also be a small announcement of some TLC coming for the park's existing coasters.
